I know we've all had to cut back in certain ways on our weddings. What was the one thing you wish you could have splurged more on? I'll go first. I'm pretty happy with most of my stuff, but I wish I had more money in my flower budget for the tall CP I wanted.

I wish I had more money for the reception. I am having it at my 5th choice right now. I would LOVE to have it at Atlantica but for 250 people that is impossible

actually for me photos and video, they last a lifetime. Maybe flowers second.

The reception for me too. When I did an estimated budget for my band and flowers, I overestimated, so I feel like I'm getting a good deal. The photo and video is a little more than I thought, but those are the memories..

I voted photo/video b/c it's what you walk away with when al is said and done, but it was close to reception - there were a few other places I would have rather had the reception if money had been no object... plus adding raw bars, etc.
That said, if I wasn't limited to the possibilities you gave us, I probably would have said Honeymoon. What I wouldn't give for a month-long vacation! :o)

I would say reception. Not because I am not having it at a place of my dreams, but rather I would have extended the reception. I went to a wedding where everyone was out of town and it was more like a 'wedding weekend'. It was soo much fun - that is what I would want to do. Small events - a bbq for everyone one night, a brunch, etc.

I said flowers -but I would rather spend the money on paying everything for bridesmaids including travel, accomadaions, dresses, and makeup/hair/pampering

Ideally, yes, not havign to worry about work & being able to afford to take a month long trip would be nice!
Out of those, it is a toss up bewteen flowers & reception.
I really like my reception, we wanted to keep it low key, but if I knew I had money to waste, I maybe have doen something completely ridiculous.
More in the realm of reality, I'd like more flowers. The florist I have to use for the church is so expensive, & I want pew bows with flowers on each pew (It s only 7 rows deep), but they are $35 each!
I am thinking of trying to get a less expensive florist for the reception & bouquets, so I can spend more on the expensive church flowers.
I know they don't last & I know the church ones are left there, but I just want to be surrounded by flowers!!

Flowers I could care less about...
I am getting exactly what I want for photo and video...
Music is what I want too....
I wish I could have had some sort of a tented wedding....

I agree with Jilbean... I wouldn't change anything at all... the only downfall might be that we almost UNDER budget! How come no one told me that I'd be going over? But, it's exactly what I dreamed of. The best part? I always admired the reception hall I choose, and never thought I'd actually have my wedding there.

I might have gone crazier with the little details.. perhaps splured on some 'extras' at my hall (vienesse table , seafood bar,etc) But overall I'm REALLY happy with all of my choices .. I wanted a relatively small wedding, not TOO much fanfare, and that's what I'm doing. Flowers, limo, photo/video/DJ are all JUST what I wanted!
If I had to pick one thing, I'd take another week off after we are back from the HM

Mine is not there- the HONEYMOON!! I would definitely chose reception and/or music. Also I would love to have $ to get a personal trainer and have my eyebrows done by Eliza. But we can't have it all.
