I tend to like to wear black at a night wedding but lately I have been wearing colorful dresses.

Re: What would...
I think you can wear either color..but black seems to be more popular, especially for Fall/Winter weddings. You can add some nice jewelry to it to give it a different look. Black isn't only for funerals and never goes out of style.

You can never go wrong with a black dress.. but as long as the BM's aren't wearing red, then rock the red dress!!!

Re: What would...
I know a popular Italian thing is that no one is supposed to wear red or white to the wedding because waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when the husband's 'mistress' wore red (I could have parts of this wrong) and it kinda just goes to say that white is usually reserved for the bride.
with that said I would go with black just because I come from a very italian family. But if you love the red dress then go for it!

Glad to help! You might want to double check that story/idea first. That's what I've heard from my family and some other friends but we might just be weird.
So if you're set on the red just double check the story!

Re: What would...
i say wear the black dress and dress it up with some colored jewelry or other accessories. i wore a simple black dress to DH's cousins wedding and accessorized with a silver clutch, a silver necklace, and a silver wrap.
