I know what I don't want, that stupid.... how many pieces of candy are in a jar game. I can't stand that. I am not much for bridal bingo either.

I would love a wishing well and the recipe cards.

But honestly I don't really care what they do, I am just looking forward to all my friends being together, especially for my MOH to fly in from Paris. And I am happy they picked a location that was casual and low key. I really didn't want a fancy dinner or anything like that, like a lot of my friends have had. But the spot is on the water, so it will be beautiful.

ITA! my oot friends/family are what i'd miss the most, tho i'm prepared for the travel to be too much so close to the wedding.

I had my bridal shower last week. It was everything i ever dreamed of & more. At first we had 88 people on the list but i asked my family to downsize because its a huge expesne to throw these things. So We ended up with 70 invites & 60 showed. My concern was to have the people i love & all of my friends be there. Oh & for someone to take pics because being so suprised i wasnt prepared wit me own things!

I would like launderie but something that i help my mom pick out.....I wanted a nice new bag for the honeymoon...and a future mrs. jacket.....

but I dont know if I would be too dissapointed if I didnt get them...as long as I had everyone there to share my day with me.

so many things i dream of but will never get. But thats OK I can suggest these things to others!

Mary I think it is fantastic that you started this post to make sure Donna has everything she dreams of! You are the best Mom and I hope Donna knows how lucky she is!

I got mine at the Smithaven Mall in Lake Grove. I bought a jacket from Wal-Mart and did it at the embroidery place in front of the Gap by Macy's. If you do it at a place like that, you can get it to say whatever you want. If you go online, they sometimes have only certain options.

I'm wearing mine day of the wedding and I wear it whenever I do wedding stuff!

I want someone taking a video of my shower. My sister's shower was a few years ago......I ran the whole thing I was like the MC I was a little tipsy and it was so funny but my moms video camera broke so we don't have any video of it!

Just all my friends and family being there. I have a friend who is famous for never going to anything. but meanwhile when she got married my friends and I went to all her stuff and I helped her with all the little things that need to be done right before the wedding. So I will be pretty hurt if she doesnt show up to my shower.

This is what the Mrs. Jacket looks like, Mary. A lot of brides will have 'Mrs. Johnson Est. 08/08/09' on it, though so at least they can wear it once they are married.

Two things that I want...One...after you mentioned the Hope Chest...I REALLY want that. I love those mushy type of gifts! :) And...I don't want the same typical bridal shower games. I organized my SIL's shower and we played The Newleywedd Game. It was soooo much fun. Everyone was commenting on how much fun it was! Here is what I did...I ask her FH (my brother) 20 questions about himself, such as...How do you take your coffee? What is your favorite movie? (I told him to choose 2 or 3 so it was easier for her) What was your first car? What is FH's favorite midnight snack? etc... (I have the list of questions if you are interested in doing this) Then, as the bride opened each gift, whoever's gift she opened...got to pick a question from the basket. The guest asked the bride the question...if she got it right, then the guest one a prize, which I allowed them to choose from a basket (assortment of 1-2 dollar items...travel size shower gel, lotion, bubble bath, to do list, candles, etc.) If she got it incorrect, which was pretty impossible (b/c we gave her hints), the guest would get a piece of Lindt chocolate.

I have to say I would hope my mom would take the camcorder and she knows how much I love pictures as well, so to have someone take the pictures as well.
But, too have everyone that I really want there to be there...friends and family.
Oh and the weather has to be good cause I really want it casual and in the backyard
