So the colors for the wedding are burgundy, ivory, and gold accents. My BM dresses will be a very dark burgundy taffeta. FH and his guys are going to be wearing black tuxes...and that's where it stops.
I was originally thinking black shirts with ivory pearl ties, but I don't want it to look Johnny Goumba cheesy either. I know I definitely don't want to do matchy-match either and have burgundy ties and vests. Would an ivory tie on an ivory shirt look too boring? When in doubt, stick with basic black?
What do you think? Or any other suggestions that I may be missing. TIA!

I'm with you on the no matchy-matchy and no black shirts.
They have a nice gold vest and tie at Men's Wearhouse. You could go with that for GMs and ivory for FH. Or black vest for FH and gold for the GMs. Or the reverse.

I like this idea too! YOu can maybe pick up a little bit on the red when you pick out the boutineir. It will be complimenting , but not matchy matchy.

I have the same color scheme and also questioning this. FH will have the ivory shirt vest and tie. The GM will wear either an ivory shirt with champagne vest and tie or an ivory shirt with a black vest and tie. Not sure which way I want to go yet b/c I am incredibly indecisive.

Thanks girls! I'm leaning more towards a gold or champagne now, I gave FH his five options and told him which one I didn't like (burgundy), and he said he needed to 'think about it'. Doesn't he know it's not his choice??? Geez.
