A. Go to Hawaii - However, only go to Maui - maybe spend 2 or 3 nights in a 4 or 5 star hotel and the rest of the vacation stay at a no - frills place.
or
B. Go to Barbados - where we can stay at a 4 star hotel the entire time, which includes a special honeymoon package - champaign, massage,watersports,breakfast on out private balcony, ect.
I am leaning towards Barbados because we get so much more for our money - but don't want to pass up hawaii
What would you all do??

That's really a tough call.
A woman I work with went on her honeymoon to Hawaii on a budget. This is what they did. They stayed at an inexpensive hotel and didn't eat fancy meals. Instead they splerged on their sightseeing trips. They chose one special excursion on each island that they stayed on. They had a wonderful time.
I guess you also need to decide what's more important to you. Hawaii is not a place that you will travel to often. It's a once in a lifetime kind of experience. However, the Barbados package sounds very romantic.

Tough call.
Personally, I hate to fly and if I went all that way I'd want to be able to have excellent meals and stay in a nice place. Then again, Hawaii is so pretty anyway- even the no-frills places probably have pretty surroundings. I guess you have to think about how you feel about having to pinch pennies on your honeymoon. Babados might be a more relaxing choice.

Tough call.. FH and i went to maui 4 yrs ago and it is worth it even if you have to sleep outside! We loved it so much that we are going back for our honeymoon. That Barbados trip sounds great too-very romantic and relaxing. Either way-you will have an unforgettable time. Good Luck! -Kelly

I say Barbados!!! That is why we decided to go to the Bahamas we are getting so much for so much less then all our other options. I am so happy with our decision. Plus we will be there in 3 hrs
We figured we will go to Hawaii later with the kids Then we can afford to go how we want to go First class

My way of thinking is totally different than most of the other girls... I would go with Hawaii. We had a similar situation and we chose Hawaii over a Carribbean island. We figure that when we live in NY it will be easier to go to the Carribbean some other time, but Hawaii, with the traveling and stuff, would be more difficult to do. I don't know if that makes sense... We're staying at a Marriott time share so I don't know how fancy it will be, but I figure that we probably won't be at our room that much, besides for the obvious, being honeymooners .

Hawaii - You can ALWAYS go to Barbados ! Anywhere you go you're going to have a great time b/c it's your honeymoon. - But the way I see it, you're never again (at least not in the next 20 years) going to have the extra $$$ or time to splurge on a trip to Hawaii........
