I suspect that I am not invited to a friends baby shower. I looked at her registry and it seems like a lot of things were purchased. I dont know what to do, and I feel really awful about it.

Is it possible that its a surprise for her and the peopleplanning it forgot to put you on the list? Or maybe they are planning a shower and family already bought alot from the list? I hope this works out !!!

It could be that I was forgotten, and I dont really know anyone else that would be invited. However, we were in each other's weddings, so this really is bothering me. We dont see each other often, but we keep in touch. I am just really surprised by this. I think maybe I was an oversight????

play dumb. i would 'innocently' contact a family member or friend and ask 'is anyone planning something for XXXXX? i'd like to get her something, but don't know what...'

to make you feel better my sister (MOH) by accident omitted my two aunts and they thought they weren't invited did not realize it till afterwards....those things happen. I would kind of maybe call her mom if you know her.

Maybe you could call her mom or whoever is organizing it and just ask them if they know where she is registered because you'd like to get her something. That should ring some bells and jog their memory because usually they include registry stuff in the invite!!

I had some drama with my father, but everyone from his side of the family was invited to my shower. They live in OH, so they didn't come but they all sent gifts. They didn't come to our wedding, but one of my cousin's did send a gift.
But, I knew she was pregnant and I was not invited to her baby shower. I still bought gifts and sent them to her. I included a note saying 'I remember Grandma saying you were pregnant. So, while I was shopping for a friend, I asked if the store also had a registry for you. The saleslady found it and said that your shower must be coming up because a lot of items had been purchased. So, I wanted to make sure that I sent you a gift.'
