i have a married cousin whose wife is a total b$%ch. She called and invited herself to the engagement party and never showedup, sh invited herself to the bridal shower and never showed up, then she called to ask where her wedding invite is the day after we mailed them. we told her it was on the way and she has not responded ( we had a response date of march 1) they live in the same town as us. so i called her yesterday nad asked if she was coming and she said to me in a very nasty tone i dont know. i was like i have to know i have to give my final numbers. ( we are already over so we will pay money for the two of them not to show up) she said she would call me back later that night and let me know. i still havent heard from her. if i call her tomorrow and she says she doesnt know, do you think it would be wrong of me to say then dont come?

Re: what would you do?
NO i don't think it would be wrong..You went out of your way to call her 2x...SHe has had plenty of time to figure out what she is going to do. SO if you call and she still says she doesn't know... I would say...well i am sorry but you are giving your number count in today and she will not going to be included.
But think i might talk to my cousin and not his wife...may be a little easier

Re: what would you do?
According to her attendance record, and the fact that you went out of your way to contact her after your RSVP date, I would scratch her off of the guest list. And if she does show up, tell her to enjoy cocktail hour cause there's no place for her to sit for dinner! Some people

Re: what would you do?
I would not call her again and leave them out of the count. If they show up the day of, let the Matre'd handle it, that is what you are paying him/her for, but you could think of a possible place to seat them if it happens.

Not at ALL!! I would tell her 'I am very sorry, I cannot pay for you to come and have you not show up again'

Re: what would you do?
I would call and speak to my cousin...ask him if they are coming...if he says he doesnt know than say he will not be included in the count, because you have to send in #!
It is fair enough (and you dont have to be considering what they have done in the past!!!!)

Re: what would you do?
I would call and tell her that you make a mistake. You meant to send the invite to family and friends who are supportive of you. No b!tches were supposed to receive it and she obviously got one in error. Please disregard. Then hang up.

Re: what would you do?
Let your cousin know that the final count is at the caterers and you cannot make anymore changes. Be apologetic but firm. If they arrive anyway (idiots), the maitre D can handle it.
