If you were let go from a company, but a couple of month later you see in the newspaper that the same company is hiring for the same position, would you apply? I am debating, but I am not sure if I want to be where I am not wanted or give them the satisfaction, you know? I was let go after filing a workers comp claim and they thought I was out too long.
ETA: for a refresher here is the original post I had when I was let go. Fired

Re: What would you do?
i would not apply...
1. why would you want to return to a place that treated you the way they did?
2. it would be a matter of time before they dug up your files and my guess wouldn't want to extend a warm welcome. you were let go for a reason other than cutbacks - be it wrong or right, they felt justified in doing so and will keep that in mind...

Re: What would you do?
also, most companies will not re-hire someone they've fired. i know my company will not re-hire, no matter if you left on your own or was let go. and i wouldn't want to work for a company that didn't want me in the first place

Re: What would you do?
My pride would never allow me to re-apply. I also would not want to work at a place that I knew didn't appreciate me as a worker.

I wouldn't apply either, don't give them the satisfaction!

You are going to apply for a job with a company that fired you?
