what would you do?

i left fi home for weekend while i went on a road trip with a friend of mine. one of fi's to-do items for the weekend was to look at video samples from the videographer i like, the videographer he likes, and a videographer that someone here referred me to. we discussed last nite and, after he asked me to explain why i wanted a video, told me that i could hire the videographer i liked. BUT, even though fi liked his work, he felt videographer was inexperienced and he didn't like the way he presented himself. :p

so.... do i go ahead and hire the videographer i like OR do we keep looking till fi and i completely agree on one? (even though he doesn't seem to think videographer is necessary)

Since he's already compromising on having a videographer to begin with, I would keep looking until you find one that you are both happy with. If he likes one, he may be more receptive to the idea.

I would keep looking, you still have plenty of time to find someone you both like. I can understand your FI's reasons for not liking your choice, inexperience and a poor presentation can say a lot about their work for the day-of. Good luck!!
