I changed my date from oct 2005, to march 2006. I have a vendor that I still did not get my new contract fom yet. I e-mailed a couple of times to get it sent to me, and it still has not come. What should I do. Should I call again or just get someone else?

Are you fairly near by where you can stop by? Sometimes things only get done when you are on top of them. If you can't I'd try calling once more and then find someone else. March is right around the corner. Is it a big vendor?

call again. We changed our date and were waiting and waiting for a new contract. When we called, they said they had sent it, but we never recieved it (lost in the mail?? maybe.) Anyway, we got the new contract after the phone call. If you have already discussed the new date with the vendor, and they said they were making a new contract, then you wouldn't want to book another vendor, because then you would be stuck with two vendors.

I would walk into this vendor's store and request a copy of the new contract in person.

that's a good idea.....dealing with things over the phone or e-mail can be frustrating. things like this are sometimes better to deal with in person if you don't get a response after trying a couple of times to communicate other ways

Sometimes vendors only change the date on their contracts (my company does). If you asked for a new one to be mailed though, then they should send one ASAP...

E-mail isn't the best way to get in touch with a vendor...phone or in person is best. Call and tell them that you will be picking it up in an hour or something. You don't want to get stuck with 2 vendors and be out your deposit!
