I think maybe calling in sick is a bit risky. Especially if you come back with color. I'd see about some vacation or personal time first. Good luck!

If you have a great MD, I would suggest going for a visit before you leave. After all, how can they truly forbid calling in sick if it's legit??

i would just be honest - and ask my supervisor abt it - if it was just one day - i would call in sick - but fri and mon - and with the rules they have - i wouldnt take that chance

I would use personal/vacation time. If it meant you losing your job no I do not suggest that you go.
