So I had invited a friend with and they resonded that they would be just 1. My wedding is in two weeks and my RSVP date was 3 weeks ago. Yesterday afternoon I gave my count to the RH and was told our remaining balance. I went over everything with my dad. I am giving the bank check to the RH on wednesday, the next few days most of the world is closed for Christmas. So last night at a party this friend now asks if he can bring a date afterall nad I was like I need to check things out before I let you know.
Is it okay to say no, i feel like things are really sort of settled. I feel like if he was on the fence about bringing someone he shold have just said 2 from the start and then if I needed to delete someone that seems easier than adding.
TIA.

Re: What would you do?
From what I have heard you can still count on a few people not showing up even though the replied yes.....so you can tell him yes without having to change the count with the hall...

Do you think the wedding is too close to have someone on the fence about bringing a guest? It's up to you, if you can still add people...if not, just let him know you already gave the headcount to the RH.

Exactly. Just make sure you make the appropriate changes on the tables/placecards, etc.

That's what I will do. Thankfully there was one extra seat at the table so i dont have to rearrange any of that stuff.
I think I was just annoyed to be asked totally on the spot at a party.

i'd be annoyed too. but i'd probaby say yes also as long as my rh was ok with it.
