We havent spoken about it yet. I guess it is something that I can discuss with him now...just to get it out of the way.
After so many years its time to move on.
I can see if she thought that it was a form of disrespect and people were shocked. Maybe he is a jokester.

fh and i brought this up the other day. both of us agree not to do it to each other. i think it could ruin pictures and the end of the wedding.

I have a feeling FH will (he's such a little kid at heart) and I'll get over it. However, if he gets any cake on my dress he will be in LOTS of trouble, he may even be brought on dr. phil 18 years later, if dr. phil is still practicing psychology. Maybe the 2026 boards will be talking about it!

Ok that was 18 yrs ago she's bugging out on that point I would never hold on to that for that long!
But anyway...Yes FH and I have spoken about the smashing of the cake. And he said NO! For three reasons...1 he doesnt like cakes like that! 2 he's not messing up make up he spent all that money for (He knows I'll kill em) and 3 thats a waste of money to him! lol!

i hope i dont get cake smashed in my face. i said i didnt want it...but we'll see. i'm thinking FH will forget all about cake smashing cuz he isn't too great at remembering those little details.so i'll just pretend like no one does it.
i dont want the dress to get dirty and my face to be all sticky after putting on all the pretty make up!

I did it to FH at our engagement party!!!! He never expected it. I told him I didn't want my dress messed up so I know he won't do it to me at the wedding.

This couple got married 18 YEARS AGO.. and Husband promised not to smash cake in his wifes face at their wedding but it was tradition in his family so he broke the promise and smashed it in her face.. and she still holds it against him and shes still really mad at him.

is this lady for real...i understand being mad for a few minutes or an hour THE MOST!!!...18 years, seriously this woman is just a miserable person, that is ridiculous.

FH and I haven't talked about the whole cake thing yet. I wouldn't want to smash it in each other's faces, though. If it happens though, I wouldn't hold a grudge. Like you girls said, it's the end of the night and something small like that isn't the end of the world.

It is extremely silly for her to still be mad at him. I will have to talk to FH about this scenario tonight and will keep you guys posted. Lets see if he gives me the 'right' answer ;)
