Ok...here's the situation. FI's parents have been divorced and remarried since he was 5. However, the first time his parents spoke to eachother since he was 13 was at our engagement party. you can feel the tension.
now...we're very lucky to have his mom and step dad and my parents split the cost of the wedding. His father hasn't offered to pay, which is fine, we're not asking. BUT...FI thinks his dad's name should still be on the invitation. I said the names on the invitation are people who are doing the inviting. Since his mom and my parents are paying it should just be their names. my mom agrees and so does his mom (even tho even if he did pay she still wouldnt want his name in there).
So...my questions is...should we put his name or not? and if we do...how do you word it with so many parents??
sorry so long!!

Re: What would you do??
I agree with the mothers. We didn't put Fh bio father on the invite. My parents and Fh mom &stepdad have helped not only financially but with planning too. We worded the invited my parents invite to wedding of daughter me to FH (Fh full name)son of Fmil&Fsfil. However Fh has only spoken to his dad twice in the past 2 years. Once to say we got engaged and once to get his address to send the invite to. We are printing up separate invites for fh bio father and Fh paternal grandmother that doesnt have his mom and stepdad on it.

I also agree with the mothers. I do not think that his names should go on the invitations.
