So I was under the impression that i was not invited to a wedding of someone i went to college with. I was fine with that. I didn't invite her to my wedding. Well tonight I got an evite for her Bachelorette party and on the list are all other people who i know are invited. The thing is, she doesn't have my new address (although she never did ask for it) and could easily have sent my invite to my moms place.
The wedding is in two weeks so the RSVP date has to have come and gone and she shoudl be doing follow ups on those who haven't RSVPd which makes me think I am not invited. But then why include me in the bachelorette thing, she specifically would have to have given my email to the girl planning it.
So i guess the questions are- do i have one of my really good friends who was invited to both the bachelorette party and the wedding ask what is up with me being invited? if you weren't invited to the wedding would you still go tot he bachelorette party?
Sorry so long.
TIA.

Re: What would you do?
It's a little odd that you were invited to one & not the other, BUT if you & this girl are still friendly, then I say what the heck!! Go and have a good time partying with your friends that night - I would I probably wouldn't bother having a friend ask about the wedding invitation, though...if you go to the bachelorette party, there's a chance that she may just bring it up on her own ...

I agree it's really odd that you'd be invited the bachelorette party if you're not invited to the wedding. Personally I'd have the other friend ask her about it asap so you'll know for sure... I think that's the best way to go so there's no confusion. Also, I'd only go to the bachelorette party (especially if you're not invited to the wedding) IF you really think you'd have a great time. If you don't want to go, don't feel bad skipping it.

Re: What would you do?
Even though I would not invite to one and not the other, it happens. My FH was invited to a BP last year and we were not invited to the wedding (well, let me correct that...while he was at the BP throwing them back with the groom-to-be he let him know he was insulted by that so we ended up being invited. We didn't go. How embarassing!)
Maybe since the girl wasn't invited to yours and in an effort to keep the guest list down she didn't invite you but she has fun with you so she wants you at her BP?

That's what I'm thinking
I do agree with drpep though, too...only go if you think you'll have a good time - don't feel bad skipping it if you don't want to go. I don't think there is ANY obligation here on your part, so you have the freedom to do what you want

THat's very odd. I would have my friend ask about it. If she did send you an invite that you never got she may be pissed that you haven't RSVPed yet.

Re: What would you do?
I would def have someone ask her. Cus if I wasn't invited to the wedding i would feel totally out of place at the bachalorette party. Its kind of rude to invite someone to that and not to the wedding thgough- so maybe u are invited. Its kinda like inviting someone to the shower and not the wedding- also weird. Where you invited to the shower?

I've heard of this before, although I think it's more common with bachelor parties than bachelorette. I agree with the other girls - if you're going to have fun, go to the bachelorette.
I might have a good friend do some detective work though to find out if I was invited to the wedding - but more out of concern that the invitation is lost and she's thinking I'm inconsiderate!

Re: What would you do?
I agree with the whole maybe it got lost, but with 2 weeks to her wedding if i was invited she should have followed up with me. The more i thought about it last night the more i think i was invited because i work in the city and it would be convenient for me to come. Most of the girls on the invite (and there were only 10) live like 3-5 hours away so they can't make a Monday at 2pm BP.
For the time being I have decided to just let it go. I dont want to make her feel like she was being tacky inviting me to one and not the other and i also do not want a pitty invite because i am not sure that i would have even gone had i been invited to begin with.
