We are leaving for our honeymoon at 5:45 AM the morning after our wedding because FH gets very little time off work. Our wedding will probably end at about 12:30 AM, and I guess that in order to be on time for our flight, we will need to leave for the airport around 3:30 AM.
Question is: We will have about 3 hours to kill after our wedding. My mom lives right near the airport. Is it worth it to get a hotel room to stay in for the 3 hours we have to kill? I guess in the scope of it all, it is not really that much extra money, but we have already spent so much.

Where are you keeping your honeymoon luggage ? Where are you changing out of your reception clothes ?
Doesn't seem worth it to book a hotel room for only the three hours before you have to leave for the airport. Would almost be better to get to the airport a little early and see if you can use the airline's executive lounge while you wait. You may be able to buy a pass for the day.

I agree too!! It would be much easier and you would have a place to keep your luggage.

Stay with your mom and save that money for your HM. It's just not worth it to spend that money for just a few hours.

honestly i dont think you need to worry about the 3 hours....
My wedding ended at 12:30 supposedly [i was still saying goodbye to people at 1:30am] and we didn't leave the RH until 2:15am. we also left for our HM quickly, but not as early as you! ours was at 8am.
So i think that you guys will be FINE on time... just go straight to the airport! it's very hectic to get your bags packed and everything before the wedding, but it's WORTH it! i'd do it all over again, it was perfect

im gonna agree with everyone else.. i have the same problem.. party ends at 12.. plane leave at 6. but realiztically u will b at the hall another hour talking to people and then another 20 getting everything out of the suite and into the car so i would go bak to mom's make sure u have everything and then head straight to the airport
