Oh my! You poor thing... My heart goes out to you, for I would be miserable in your situation. But, I will say that I think your family is being very unfair to you (and your sister). Life is too short, and people should know better, and be able to put their differences aside, in order to make your day a happy one. I don't know if there is any advice I can give you regarding who to choose.
I know that if it were me, I'd invite them all and make sure that they understand that in my heart, they are all welcomed at my wedding. If the problems that exist have nothing to do with you, than there is no reason you should be paying the price.
Best wishes to you. I hope it works out!

Re: What would you do?
I am so sorry to hear that you are in this position. I really cant say what I would do if it were me. But I would probably consider a few things:
What do I really want the outcome to be (keep it realistic)
What will my day be like with either one of them there, neither of them there or both of them there.
What will the aftereffects be? After all this is only one day in your life - one of the big ones but still only one.

Re: What would you do?
when it came to my wedding my husbands father and step mother were in the middle of a nasty divorce- they both came and ****ed it up for one day-they even took pictures with each other- they shouldnt make you choose its not fair to you-because you would always have some regret if you chose between the two of them. i would explain to both of them how important it is to have themboth there and that they have to put aside thier differences for one day.

I can't believe they are making you choose. that is absurd. It is your weddinga and both of these people are important to you. They need to put their differences aside for one day and both be there for you. I mean it's not like you are asking them to sit at the same table and enjoy each others company - they don't even have to speak if they can't get along, just be in the same room. Is that so hard.
I would invite them both and tell them to grow up. Let them make the decision, not you.
JMO - and believe me, I know how you feel. My father and brother got into a huge fight and they pulled the same stunt. I couldn't believe it. My whole family (well, most of them) supported me and told them to grow up.

Re: What would you do?
So sorry to hear about this.
I would invite both and let them decide if they are coming. It's not fair to put you in the middle. Speak to each individually to express how important it is to you that each of them attend and that you don't want to be in the middle of their problem.
Good luck.

Invite both. This is ridiculous, you should not have to choose.
