I coach 7th and 8th grade cheerleading at the school I teach in and at our game today the girls were talking about wanting to come to the ceremony. It just so happens that my church is the town next to where I teach, actually a few of my girls attend my church.
So my question is 1. Should I invite them to the ceremony? 2. If yes, what kind of invitation should I do since it is for the ceremony only and I am not wasting 20 of my invitations on them, it is too expensive. 3. Would their parents think it is weird if they got an invitation to their coaches wedding?
I think a few definetly really want to come, they were even talking about getting dreesed up and getting all excited.

IMO, I dont think you need to send anyone any formal invites for the ceremony. Ceremonies are really open to anyone who wants to come. Unless of course, you are having your ceremony at the RH. In that case, I would just give them a little card with directions and the time.

i think you should invite them to the church and their parents wont care! i went to a few of my middle school/ high school coaches/ teahcers weddings and it was jsut the church... some were word of mouth and others went to like target and got the 50invites for 15 bucks and handed those out.. nothing formal!
even pretty letterhead from staples would be good!

i would print up a very informal 'flyer' or invite that you could do cheaply inviting them to the ceremony. When I was in hs both of my cheer coaches jv and varsity got married. They told us when it was and we went to the ceremony..no invite needed at all!

I would invite them. Just print up a basic invitation on card stock or on cute paper. They will be so excited to be there!

Awwwwwwwww! I love that!! So cute.
I remember when I was young I went to the ceremony of my teachers' wedding. It was so cute and I remember thinking 'Wow! Mrs. S is a real person!!! '
I'd make a flyer. I LOVE the 2-4-6-8 thing! If I were teaching now (I'm finishing up my masters right now), I'd let students come. Aren't churches open - in general - to the public anyway?

Re: What would you do?
you can buy one of those inexpensive packets at AC Moore and print out invitations for them for just the ceremony if you really want to do that but you certainly don't have to. You can verbally tell them they are more than welcome to attend the ceremony. I don't think it's weird at all, I think it's a nice gesture
