EDIT: Thanks for the advice ladies. I actually just called up the RH and was able to speak with the BM. She apologized for what happened yesterday as she was not aware of the appt and had a big corporate event happening later that evening. I guess that's good that she was very focused on that party, I think. She did let me know that if I had any concerns that I could just call her.

While your story doesn't bode well for this RH, I'd say go to the tasting and try to get your questions answered. I'd also bring up the concern of what happened when you went the other day and that if they would blow you off for someone else like that what's to say that if you book there the same thing won't happen to you on your day. If you get a satisfactory answer then still consider them, if you don't get a satisfactory (or any) answer then say thank you and move on.
There are plenty of RHs out there, worst case scenario you move on and try to start over with another hall.
Hang in there, things will work out.

ITA I would talk to them about how you are feeling after the way you and your FH were treated the other day.
If you have ANY hesitations now about a RH check out some other places- you need to be completely happy with your RH and trust you will be treated well especially on your weddign day
