It's a nice dress but NOT for your daughter's wedding. I would think everyone at the wedding would think that as well.
I think I would tell her in a nice way to choose something else.

umm yeah to me it could pass for a wedding dress.
what was her reaction? my personal experience with MOB dresses is that they will do whatever they want to do regardless of your request. if your mom is going to be bullheaded about it all u can do is change your attitude- its your wedding and you are going to look stunning whether your mom is standing next to you in that dress or not!

I love that dress. If my mom had the body hey...but not in that color though...but if she knows how you feel then as a mother myself I would change it

you know its not the color so much that would bother me ut the dress itself.... personally regardless of whos wearing it i dont like that dress sorry jmho... and secondly i dont think its appropriate for an MOB to wear that, its wayyy too loud and a little annoying with all those ruffles lol, it reminds me a chaquita banana
