my friend's fiance's shower is the day after my wedding. they live in another state so they're coming in for my wedding and my friend's family is throwing her a shower the next day. do i have to go??
she didnt come to my shower and we're traveling to their wedding in the fall. i would like to go to her shower but it will be our first day as husband and wife!
i think i'm leaning towards not going but i want to hear some opinions! also, do i send a gift?? she didn't send me one.

No, if it were my shower, I wouldn't expect you to go! It would be a nice gesture to send a gift though.

nahhhh im sure she understands that the very next day, im sure you will be busy with fam anf friends and the after stuff that youll be doing(as for me the day after my wedding i will have my mom and dad and a few other of my family here... and i vowed to chop off my hair the next day(i cant wait)

You dont have to go. Send her a gift - she will totally understand. I would want to spend the day with my new H the day after the wedding! Dont even feel bad. Promise you she'll understand!

I agree, don't go and send a gift. She probably invited you out of courtesy but doesn't expect you to go. It would be unreasonable for her to not understand.
