What would you do?

What would you do?

The girl who did my invitations has put alot of time and effort in to my order. they were pretty much a custom job. She had to make each envelope. The size of the invite was a size that envelopes dont come in. She also did my addreses. She gave me a great price when I signed with her and neither of us knew how much was gonna be intailed with them. I wanna give her a little something extra for her time and hard work. Is $100 good or too much??
TIA

I think that is very generous of you. If you feel that she deserves it than give that. I would maybe even go a bit less since I'm sure you are already paying a lot for your invites since they are custom made and if this lady owns her own business she's getting all the profit, yah know?

I do see your point, but they werent a custom oder when we booked. They became custom when they didnt make envelopes that fit.

With that said...regarding it not originally being a custom order...I would tip but not 100 bucks...maybe 50 ?

yeah $50 sounds fair enough. If you feel you want to give a little more, than $75

How many invites? I think if she had to make more, give more....then again i'm very generous lol.

Re: What would you do?

this what I ordered: 125 invites from carlton crafts. Came with the norm: reception cards, response cards with return addres printed and the envelopes..
She framed the invites with a blue paper for the background. By doing that it doesnt fit in the envelopes that came with it. So she had to custom make the envelopes to fit. She said it is the hardest order she ever had to do. And the longest. So when she agreed to add the backing, she didnt charge me for it and she certainly didnt know she would be making envelopes. I just feel bad. FH says that's her job. But she has gone above and beyond..

Ohhhh and she also printed the addreses on the envelopes for a great price too

Agreed with the above. She could have seen that the invites would not have fit after doing a few and then told you no on the blue boarder. I would feel fine with 75-100
