what would you do?

My FH and I keep, well arguing, over what to do after our wedding. We are having a day wedding ending @6 and had originally thought we would get a party bus and head into the city to keep the party going. We figured we'd find a bar that we can get a deal for 3 hours all you can drink for say $40 (just an example) and our guests that chose to go (mainly friends) would pay themselves (we'd supply the bus). Anyway, the problem is getting everyone home since the bus is expensive as is and is only for 6 hours. I'd hate for everyone to have to leave by say 1am. We thought everyone could take the train home but then its an issue of how would everyone get their cars to the train station after the wedding and then they would still have to drive home 40 mins from there. Most going live way out east but there are a few who don't so then thats an issue as well (their vehicle would be out east yet they live in by the city). We don't have any OOT guests coming that would need a hotel so doing an after party there is out. I think we should see about renting a house in the Hamptons for the weekend and just having a party there. Ugh.

FH wants the party bus/city.
I want house rental in the Hamptons to make it easier on everyone.

Which one would you do?

That is hard but they cant they leave there cars at the train station and have someone pick them up ? or the whole getting a house is a pretty cool idea and would be fun!!! Believe it or not you do argue over stupid things and i find myself doing the samething ..suxs but dont worry about it and things will work out ...good luck!

Even if you got the party bus you wouldn't want your friends to drive after drinking at the wedding and then in the city.

I would say get the house or rent a suite for you and FH to stay in near your RH and have the party there.

i think the house.. because some people might not want to spend the money on a gift + a night in the city.

House idea seems like a lot of fun.

I would do what someone else suggested and get a suite somewhere and party there for the night. Going and renting a house in the hamptons seems kind of prom like to me. If you get a suite, you get to have your own space for your wedding night and don't have to deal with drunk obnoxious friends getting in the way

House in the Hamptons....If you did the city you HAVE to provide transportation both ways..you can't make them take the train...It's just tacky...defff house in hamptons.

Thanks ladies! I agree, having them provide their own transportation home isn't right and I wouldn't want anyone driving drunk anywhere. I'll have to look into the suite idea, never really thought about that. Thanks!
