What would you do if...

What would you do if prior to your wedding you attended another wedding where the bride had the EXACT dress as you? Assume that most of the guests at that wedding would also be in attendance at your wedding as well.

I just thought of this last night. I'm attending three weddings before my own and at least half those guests at those weddings will be at mine. I don't even have my dress yet, but if I were in this situation, as crazy as it sounds- I think I'd probably go and buy different one ASAP!!

I probably would too..unless the bride looked horrible in it and I looked fab in it! lol

its doubtful anyone will choose the same dress as me. I seem to have way different taste than anyone else I know.

Id keep my dress - i mean who would notice?

if it looked great on me- id **** it up and wear it
and if the bride was invited to my wedding
Id tell her if she tells people she had the same dress

hmmmmm, honestly, i may be inclined to add a sash or some extra something to make it my own. but each girl wears it different Im sure.

I am gonna tell the truth.. I would probably be really pissed (not that I have anyone to be pissed at) and then I would cry.

ON a lighter side.. there are so many dresses out there.. I am sure you will be ok!

I would def cry too! I don't know what I would do because I love my dress and wouldn't want to NOT wear it just because another bride did. I probably would still wear it.

eta: Good thing this isn't possible right now for me because my dress is already discontinued!

If it were too late to buy a new one - just rock the one you'll have and make it your own. Add some different accessories, wear your hair a different way and change up your shoes during the reception so the guests have something fresh and new to focus on. But in all likely hood i think you'll be just fine :)

NOT IMPOSSILBE!! it actually happened to me!!! lol..and I cried lol My friend who I have since become even closer with, and was actually an '09 bride on here lol..showed me her dress online 8 months before FH and I got engaged. I had just met her at that time we would talk about her wedding and stuff because I LOOOVE WEDDINGS! I get engaged and go dress shopping and I find a dress I love and wanted to order it!.. came home to 'stalk it' online..and it looked nothing like the one in the store..but I saw the pic and was like OMG..I think it's her's I was in denial for a few days like maybe its not..but had a knot in my stomach thinking it was the same. I was so upset because when I did ask her it was hers..people were like who cares get it anyway, but I could never do that..I didn't feel right knowing she picked it first, and some of the same people would be at both weddings.. Therefore I cried and got over it..and found my dress now that I am IN LOVE with!!! I still can't believe to this day out of all the dresses in the world it was the same, but it happened for a reason because I never would have found mine now!!!! <3

I agree with having the cry. And of course depending on my financial situation at the time, Id probably go find one asap. lol. But i'm the first of my friends to get married so I think I'm safe. And I've already seen my sister's dress (she's a 2010 bride on here ) And it's nothing like my taste at all. So i'm safe...so far.

Omg Gina! That's crazy that out of all the dresses out there, that it was the exact same one. Everything happens for a reason. You were meant to get the dress that you now LOVE!!
Out of the three weddings I'm going to, each bride has a different taste from mine...(at least I hope...lol).
