if you booked a vendor, gave them at $550 deposit, and then. . .read in an article. . .that they have the HONOR of being one of the 6 worst companies in their state, as per the BBB!!!


I'm thinking I eat the deposit and tell everyone how much this company $ucks so that they don't book them too!

What would you do?

have you searched reviews on here for that vendor? That might help put your mind at ease?

I think it would depend on which vendor it was.

I think I would honestly just deal with it and see how it goes.

Maybe you can bring this to their attention and they can ease your worries by giving you some extras...but who knows, that stuff I'm not good with.

No reviews on here, but a good handful of brides using them in the upcoming months.

I've tried talking to the guy, he's a total a-hole and won't even address his plethora of BBB complaints, things on ripoffreport, bad reviews on yelp.

He tells me not to believe everything I read. I'm sure all 25 complaints on the BBB, 18 this year, were ALL MADE UP.

BTW - went to a wedding at WCC on Friday night, and it was FABULOUS. Quite possibly the best wedding I've ever been to! CH was great, service was fab (she put us next to the bar - she is good to me), VH was delish! You have nothing to worry about!

yea ok, eat the $550 and find someone else. Then tell us who it is!

I'm just feeling out what most would do.

I want my deposit back, but it might be more worth it to say screw the $500 and tell everyone and their mother how much of a JERK this guy is.

I think it depends on what vendor it is and how important they are to you. If it was photography, for me that is most imp., I would totally cancel and find someone else. If it was a florist I may let it go, but it really depends on my interaction with them. Losing $550 may be better than losing good service that you deserve and if it is going to cause stress and heartache. Maybe you should start calling other companies.

I know which vendor you're talking about and I agree with the others. Just cancel and take it as a loss.
I cant believe this company is even still in business with a reputation like that!

I was in the same situation and lost almost $900 for that decision. It was a tough call esp since we are pinching every penny to pay for the wedding, but I couldn't go forward once I found out the info, researched and realized what a mistake we made. If you are certain of a bad rep the company has, if the contract doesn't read what you agreed to or if you will have major doubts over it, eat the money and find someone else. In the end, you will be much happier that you did.

I think I know which vendor you are talking about of yours and since its not a major one- just a very cool add on- I think I would try and get my deposit back and be done with it

If it is just an add on, then I would try to get the deposit back or just use them.
