With out getting in to specifics what would you do if this happened to you. If it did happen please write what did you do? I'm kinda freaking out, and am curious to see what other brides would do, please don't name any vendor. I want to avoid Drama.
Your main contact w/ a Major vendor changes 3 times in the year you've looked in to planning with them? Each time a contact person changes, the prices/ or what's included w/ what changes, now I'm not complaing when I asked if my contact would change again before the wedding the new contact added a few things and lowered my price. That was a question I asked my 2nd contact. I'm now woring with my 3rd contact and I'm getting fustrated that I started planning so far in advance b/c I didn't want to plan this step now, when I have other thing s to do at his point in the timeline.
Now This afternoon a forth person you've never spoke to calls you telling you that there's a problem where you initaled but didn;t sign your contract . You make an appointment to go sign the contract.
Then later this evening a fifth person calls and only identifys themself as an employee of this vendor, you hear the vendors name and assume they are talking about your event to you, right? Well this vendor says they are sorry for the mix up (which I think is not picking up missing signature from a contract, that I signed in person ) But why are these contrats going out to you when you have an appointment in a few days? Then this person finishes the following statement with your probably wondering who 'your name' is. I respond I'm 'my name'. She then says your wondering what this is all about, then continues to tell you that your contract is their template and instead of changing my name and my fiance's name to the other couple's names she made a mistake and forgot. This other couple, initaled the contracted before they realized it wasn;t there name. Someone saw unsigned contracts with my name on it and called me. Ok accidents happen. I'm a lil concerned, but we're all human right.. But why would a vendor shuffle a client amongst it's staff, don;t they relize how fustrating it is for the client to explain what they want...
Ok are you still with me...
Later tonight you get a phone call from the 3rd person that called saying they were your contact. Stating that they are waiting to get the details of your contracts confirmed by a supervisor, these contracts were set & signed months ago.
I'm concerned. I feel as though this is a sign that the company is disorganized duh! I'm considerig looking in to a new vendor for this need. FH thinks we have to leave it as is, I'm over reacting, and it's not that big deal, what can go wrong with this vendor to ruin our day. He thinks nothing I think everything...
Thanks in advance

Re: What would you do? Vendor related
honestly, it's a really hard topic to comment on because I'm sure it depends on the vendor when it comes to what you should worry about... you know?
i would definitely go there in person and ask to speak to a manager, not just a contact and explain everything that's happened and explain your concerns and see what they can do to ease your mind.

WOah that was confusing but they do sound very unorganized and I would be annoyed and worried. You should speak to them in person about this.

it is a little hard to say and follow without knowing specifics, however, i would look for another vendor that is more organized and reliable

I'd start over - if you arent losing a lot of money- or if you can afford it.
Not worth the worry and headache. There are so many other talented, more organized companies out there!

michele i'm sorry but it sounds like these people have their heads up their a s s e s !!!
i feel so bad for you, i know how upsetting it is to be frustrated w a vendor...
i think you need to go there and speak to someone like the other girls have said. let the manager/owner know what is going on, and that you are very upset and worried about how your wedding is being/will be handled. let them make it up to you, and if after speaking w them face to face you aren't 100% confident, i would think about going to someone else.
you don't want to deal w the stress of worrying about this for the next 6 months, and the possibility of something getting really screwed up.
of course, nothing can truly ruin your wedding day...you're getting married to the man of your dreams, and it will be perfect...but of course we all want to get the best on our best day ever...and you want to avoid anything upsetting you in the slightest on that day if you can.
not EVEN forgetting to mention what we're paying all of these vendors. you should get the best service possible...and this is far from good service.
good luck, let me know what happens!

they sound that they'd lose your own heads if they werent attached.
if you cant go to another vendor (which i would) i'd definitely go there speak with the owner if possible and get a straight answer and definite price, etc. have everything squared away that day with a completed contract. getting a little b!tchy may be needed and have FH there for back up too.

I think Jeanette hit it right on the head! I would want to speak to the owner or head manager

Wow, that's nuts. Before switching companies, I think i would try to speak with the owner and/ or manager. I would definitely tell them everything and tell them that u r (understandably) worried. Even though they seem to be very disorganized, I don't know if I would switch companies without first speaking with the owner/ manager. JMO.

speak to a manager and if getting a hold of one manager that can tell you whats going on and reassure you is something out of this company's capability....then back out. it shouldnt matter if youve never 'signed' anyway.
good luck!

Thanks, but our contracts were SIGNED, they used my contract as a template for another and that coupl initaled & didn't sign b/c they realized it wasn't their names on the contract
