We just booked our honeymoon flight to aruba- we wanted direct and cheap and we decided to go with a 7:20 flight out of JFK
We are getting marrried at Crest Hollow- reception should end at 12:30 if we dont add on overtime hours....so we should be out by 1 after w epack, by the time we get to where we are staying it will be about 2 before we get into bed...then we ave to be up again at 5 to get to the airport in time
Would you get a hotel room or suite for just 3 hours ??? Im so conflicted cause i feel 1) its a waste of money 2) we might not even go to sleep 3) but i feel its nice to just be alone by ourselves after wards otherwise we would go home with our families and have an after party

honestly i would get a simple room near the hotel - to sleep as late as possibe -for that short of time it is not worth it

complete waste of money!! You're going to be SO tired anyway, you will only notice a bed.

I would suggest staying near the airport.
For a 7:20 flight to Aruba wouln't your check in time be around 5:30?

i would probably still get the room just for the few hours, i would just want to be alone with my new husband for a bit and let it all soak in

I would stay and have an after party only becaues I would be terrified of oversleeping and missing my plane. And the hotels near the airports are really expensive for 3 hours

Definitely get a room, it's your wedding night! Even if you don't sleep , you'll want some alone time.

I would get a regular room. Regardless of how you feel now, you're going to be completely exhausted at the end of your wedding day and you will want to sleep.

That's what we did! We went to the bar with our friends until 4:30am and the got our stuff together to leave for the HM. We slpet on the plane!

thats my fear too....i get tired so easily that its probably just better to be up all night and sleep the next day in the warm sun

SAve the money...My cousins did this, and they just went home to on of the parent's houses, chatted, hung out, took a quick nap and had the parents drive them to the airport...if you have to get up that early, you're just gonna want to sleep, make your first night in aruba your 'wedding night'

honestly, I def. wouldnt do that. Maybe you can stay at your home. Its only 3 hrs. Save the money so that u can use it for the HM

Here's a twist-
Go for the extra hour for your wedding if that's what the party calls for, don't rush yourself. Get home and do the last minute packing and leave for the airport. By the time you say goodbye to your guests and everything it will probably be too late anyway. You will have alone time on your honeymoon.

imo,i wouldn't get a fancy schmancy room.
i'm getting a regular room b/c we're leaving the next day for the honeymoon. spend the money on your honeymoon...
