what would you girls do? I need help with jewelry

Original post by JessicaM.

so I am looking now for my bridal jewelry. I want pearls.

I found these first two pieces that I like on sale. it would come out to about $125 for both.

however, I just found these two that I LOVE, but combined it would be $500

then, there is always the great choker debate...which one would look better with my dress....(the dress that if it wasn't so damn expensive, I'd be more inclined to spend on the pieces I LOVE but I digress )

here are all the pics.

I just wanted to post again to say that I am not a fan of the choker. I think the beading on the dress and the dramatic neckline needs to be 'soft and flowy' (at least in my head) and a choker will bring the eyes to the throat area...it should be brought down to the decolletage, hence why I love the second 'y' necklace.

Call me crazy...

Jess I have to agree with Sasha. Since your dress is V-neck a 'y' necklace would complete it beautifully.

although I love the choker, I have been thinking the same thing...

so good of you two to agree on the MOST EXPENSIVE thing do I see a wedding gift in my future

POST THE PIC OF THE MODEL IN YOUR DRESS...SHE'S WEARING THE CHOKER...LOVE IT WITH YOUR LONG ARSE NECK!

YES, I'M DISAGREEING WITH S AND Q....

actually, the model has the best of both worlds going on...since the dress is deep v's in both the front AND back, she has a choker that has a lariat in the back....so it goes down her back.

OK...yes, the fabulous Q has great taste and I tend to love her ideas and selections, so it's 'normal' that we would be on the same page. And my dear Jess, I know you 'feel us' too, so stop frontin'!

As for the model...well, your dress was modified and the V won't be as deep, hence why I said 'softer'...also, the beading will sparkle a lot more...so you again, need softer.

I stick with my original choice. And yes, it's pricey...but is it real? If so, so worth it. You get to keep it forever! My DH spent almost that much on my bracelet and earrings but I love the fact that I have them to 'pass down' one day or wear again...

I didn't say my choice was cheap

But think of it as an investment. Do you see yourself wearing this jewelry after the wedding??

I love the Choker more than anything else, and I would pair it up with a simple earring - such as a post pearl set. I think any other earring would take away from the choker and in turn take away from the dress.

One FOCAL point.

we are on the same page today my friend, cause I agree.

I love the look of the choker it pulls the look together so well. I would pair it with a stud of some sort, but hey that is just me and the title is what would you girls (me) do. Something about the neckline with the choker... does it for me.

I would type more but I just noticed I am mysteriously bleeding on to my keyboard...

I told you the coke was strong!

Just kidding!

yes, I want to be able to wear it again, and yes, Sasha, they are real Majorica pearls.

I'll have to see what I can do. maybe I can find it somewhere else on sale.
