I'm torn. I thought of the most wonderful place for our TTD shoot that would be meaningful and fun for DH and I. But their fee is pretty high, like almost twice what I paid for the photo location for our actual wedding pics. I tried to negotiate, and got the fee down to half what it would've been. But it's still pretty pricey.
I REALLY want to take the pics there, but I'm not sure I can justify spending so much money, especially when the photo shoot alone is free.
Do I eat the extra money for some amazing pictures, or do I keep looking?????

That's a TOUGH one. Part of me wants to say, well the shoot was free, why not spend the money you saved on the location. The other part of me says there are so many other locations that would be less expensive or even free, to keep looking.
If you let us know the place you're talking about, someone might be able to suggest another option! HTH!

I think it depends on your financial situations. If you guys have the extra money to 'blow' to pay for the location then definitely do it. If not then just keep looking...

If it's that important to you and you could afford it, I say go for it. Pictures will last a lifetime.

since you guys are doing your kitchen i would say find another place. you never know what other expenses might pop up. you have wonderful wedding day photos to look at. oh and bpics

if you're going to regret not booking this place, then spend the money on it ... you don't want to be upset about this your entire life! but if you think you can find an equally good place (or you won't regret not booking thre) then don't do it.

Maybe this is a longshot...but could you further negotiate it down by allowing the place to use your photos on their website (if they have one, of course - in the section where they have info about renting it for such a purpose)?

I didn't even think of this. What's funny is that apparently I'm the first one to ever inquire about such a photo shoot there. I would think they'd be more willing to work with me

So if you are the only person who is ever asked then I would honestly out right tell them that they are being really ridiculous with their fee and tell them that other places offered you must lower quotes and see if that helps. They are just trying to take advantage of you.
