What would you girls rather do and why. I was thinking of maybe going on a cruise but I have never been on one. I love the thought of going to an island but I will be going for 8-10 days and I'm nervous I will get bored after a while. Please help!!

Re: What would you rather do
We thought about cruising but we decided to stay on an island. We wanted to do what we wanted to do when we wanted to do it, we didn't want to have to be back on the boat at a certain time for our HM but may do it for another vacation.

That is how I felt to but not sure. Did you have plenty to do on your HM or did you start getting bored.

I would def. say the cruise. There is so much to do on a cruise, from dancing all night to relaxing in a spa. And you will still get to go to the islands, just not as long. I have been on a few different cruises and they have all been some of the best vacations ever.

I agree, plus some cruises you spend more than one day on an island so you will get the best of both worlds.

Re: What would you rather do
I would do the island because 1) I get bad motion sickness and 2) I have fears of drowning on a cruise. I know its totally irrational, and I think it came from seeing the posideon adventure when I was little.

Re: What would you rather do
I go stir crazy on cruises...Even though you get off the boat when you are in port, it can (IMO) be crowded/claustrophobic when you're on the ship (which can be a lot of time depending on the itinerary).
If you're worried about getting bored staying on the same island, just pick one where there's a lot to do...(sightseeing, etc).

i would do the island... trust me, you won't get bored if you go to the right kind of resort! we went to virgin gorda in the british virgin islands, and stayed at bitter end yacht club. it was an all inlclusive place- they had all kinds of boats we could take out ( it was fun trying out sailing!), there were snorkeling trips that went to a different reef everyday, other boat tours to nearby islands and sites, one day we rented a jeep and went cruising around on the other side of the island.... you can find stuff to do! and we liked being by our own schedule and doing what WE wanted to do.

Same. I'm not that keen on staying on boats for a long amounts of time also.

I'm biased, we're cruising for our honeymoon. FH has always wanted to see the Coliseum in Rome, Pompeii, and the Parthanon. We found a cruise that stops at all the necessary ports, plus a whole bunch more! Europe here we come!!

We stayed on an island and loved it! We didn't want any kind of schedule and there was PLENTY to do

Re: What would you rather do
After going on 2 cruises, I will never go on one again. I get really seasick. Luckily, DH has no desire to ever go on a cruise. As long as you can handle being on a boat, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

Re: What would you rather do
I get so sick in a car, on a plane, etc. I've never been on a cruise cuz I'm nervous I'll spend so much money to be sick. Many people that normally don't sick can get sick on a cruise. We went to Sandals in St. Lucia, best idea ever!.
