What would you think if you read this? - changed on bottom

This is what we are giving FFIL as a thank you at the rehearsal dinner:

We didn’t know what to get the man who has everything
We couldn’t think of anything you wouldn’t toss aside
So we decided to get you a little gift
That will arrive Mid January 2005

I am 4 weeks 2 days. Luckily its only 9 days till the wedding

FFIL keeps asking when #2 is coming. He is in love with our daughter. We are going to be giving him another grandchild.

No, they dont know yet. We are keeping it from them till next Friday

Thanks!!! This AM I was trying to think of creative poemish things to say and this is what I came up with tonight. I had a super great one this AM but of course I didnt write it down.

i think the idea is 'cute' if it means you are pregnant, but it comes off sounding a little weird to me. the 'toss aside' line can potentially be interpreted as you viewing him as ungrateful with respect to gifts.

i personally think this type of 'gift' is for you and FH. yes he/she is a gift to the world, but i would keep it separate from a gift for a FFIL, JMO...

i agree - i think the toss aside thing sounds like he doesnt appreciate things you give him -
i would try something else
