What you need to know about vellum votive candle wraps...

Hello Ladies,

I am just sharing some helpful information with my fellow bridezillas, lol...if you're thinking about doing customizable vellum votive candle wraps (see attached pic) then you should be aware of the fact that using a glue gun to attach the wrap to the candle will not work...my girlfriend works for a catering company and the reception had these candles on the tables. After an hour of the candles burning, the glue got hot and the wrap came off. Since my girlfriend (who's also my maid of honor) knew I was using these candle wraps, she warned me of this issue.

I went home and burned two of the votive candles with the vellum wraps-one using the glue gun and the other using double-sided tape. I am happy to report after burning them both for 6 hours, the double-sided tape worked!!! The candle with the glue gun adhesive came off after an hour.

Just thought I pass this info along before it happens to you.

thanks so much! I'll definitely stock up on the double sided tape!

Double sided clear tape works great. I did them for my e-party and i had no problems at all. I actually bought the vellum paper specifically for a certain size votive holder and it came with sheets of the clear tape.

I bought it all at Michaels.
