Whatever can go wrong will go wrong ...

this should really be my new motto.

i just got a call from the woman who runs the Chapel at the Merchant Marine Academy. They are planning on redoing the roof in the spring. She said to be prepared because for my wedding there will be a very good chance that scaffolding will be set up around the ENTIRE chapel, including the front steps, but not to worry, there will still be room to enter and leave the chapel. What am I supposed to do? All of my pictures in front of the church are going to have scaffolding in front of them!?

Re: Whatever can go wrong will go wrong ...

thats terrible! i am so sorry...
is there any way you would consider choosing another church?

I went to a wedding where there was scaffolding. THe inside of the church was lovely, and no one really cared that there were no pics outside - they just took them elsewhere.

talk to your photographer...perhaps they could remove the scaffolding digitally?

Re: Whatever can go wrong will go wrong ...

i've been to Kings Point several times, i wouldn't worry about it, right next to the chapel is some really gorgeous space to take pics, in front of the water overlooking the bridge, it is a beautiful view, but if you are dead set against it, try looking for another church, good luck!!

Don't worry, I use to work at the USMMA--that is where i met dh. . They are constanly renovating the bldg grounds. I love that place, there are so many places to take pic there. That campus is huge. It will look gorgeous. Don't worry about it.
