What's a 'Form Letter' ??

If a web-site states that they do not respond to 'Form Letters' what does that mean?

I want to write a letter requesting a sample of a product...Does the above mentioned disclaimer mean that my note will end up in the circular file?

I could be wrong on this.. but what I think they mean is that they do not want to receive a letter that could have been sent to multiple places with just their adress written in. Bascailly a form letter is like a letter that you can write to use to send to multiple receiptiants. If you personalize it to them specifically, all should be OK.

That would be my definition of a form letter. I could be wrong though. Maybe they mean it in another way.. but I'm not aware of any other types fo form letters. Hope it helps.
