I found them at Party City, they were 4 lbs. for $20. I think that I have seen them on ebay about $3 - $4 a pound. I think this is good because I have looked at tons of sites and that is the best I have found so far.

I honestly didnt pay alot of attn to the pound, but Michaels always has a sale and when they do its pretty good, I bought all of mine there.

www.wholesalefavors.com look under closeouts then sweets and treats. $15 per 5 pounds. :o)

I just got mine from www.wrapwithus.com. They are in Syosset so you can pick them up. I paid $16.95 for 5 lbs which is about 600 almonds.

What's the deal with almonds? I recall in my lifetime seeing almonds wrapped in lace...is that what you do with them?

They get wrapped in lace, tulle, organza etc. and they represent the bitter and the sweet of life. Some people stick them in their china closet, some kids love to eat them.

It is supposed to be an odd number. I think the almond poem mentions FIVE
