What's a reasonable price for BM dress?

I know cost is relative but what would you say is a reasonable price for BM dresses? I definitely don't want to make my BMs spend a ton and be complaining about me!!

I think it probably depends on your group of friends and if they are established or not. I wouldnt be upset by anything under $300...any more than that...I'd probably complain.

My girls dresses came to $141.00 + alterations. they where actually 25.00 off when they bought them.

someone will always complain..... FH's sister is already begging me not to have them spend over $200. I think this is going to be a giant pain.

I think anything under $200 is 'reasonable' and anything $150 or less is 'inexpensive' for a BM dress.

My dresses were $160+ alterations and tax and my girls (who dont have much money) were OK with that.

The few dresses I've looked at so far were under $300 but just barely so I have to be careful that with alternations they dont skyrocket. Do BM dress alterations typically cost a lot?

I agree...but if you have good friends in your bp... no one will complain regardless

edited to add: and please don't justify the price with 'but you can wear it again' no one ever does because of the style, color, or both

im gonna try to keep it around the 200 range... obviously the cheaper for them the better, but i still want them to look gorgeous. Part of accepting to be someones BM is accepting all the costs that come along with it... so they have to be prepared for something. everyone is gonna complain about something anyway.... in the end, its your decision. :)

I would say under $200 is reasonable.. if that's including alterations, even better!

My BM dresses were $160

Mine were $130. I made sure they were all under $200. All the other things that go into being a BM needs to also be taken into consideration (hair, makeup, shoes, etc.)

You will be able to find dresses under $200 if your BM are tight on cash.
