What's a 'Round the House' shower?

What's a 'Round the House' shower?

I just got invited to one. Is that any different than a regular shower?

I think it is when you are supposed to get something for a particular part of the house. Does your invite mention: Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom??? If it says Kitchen, you can get plates or pots; bedroom, you can get the sheets, lingerie; bathroom you can get towels, wastebasket, accessories, etc.

This is a party where the hostess designates a room in the house on each invitation, and the guests buy the bride a gift relating to that room. So for instance, if you get kitchen you might buy a blender, dishes, flatware etc.

'Linens, Pillows, Pots & Pans, Rakes, Tools and Garbage Cans...Everything a couple needs, let's get them started with these.'

Does that mean I have to get them one of those things?

Yup call the hostess, maybe she liked the idea, got caught up and forgot to designate! call and ask?!?!?

I've heard of that and usually they give you a room in the house to buy a gift for, but since yours doesn't say that...

I also do not think that you necessarily need to buy one of the things mentioned, I think that was just the invite saying.

I do not think it means you have to get them one of those things. I think that's just a saying for the invitation.
