What''s a Viannesse table? Just curious...

Just reading the post 'How much are you paying per plate' below. I notice people note a 'Viannese table'. Just curious, what is it?
And what do your plates include? I am from Toronto, and for $130 Cdn ($100 USD) we have full open premuim bar, hor d'oeurves, antipasto bar, pasta course, fish course, meat course and then dessert stations (chocolate fountain, crepe suzette, flambee cherries with ice cream, fresh belguim waffles) - all these made in front of you to order. And then cake and pasteries on the table. Is yours similar? Just wondering. But our venues are sooo ugly compared to yours - nothing here can compete with your amazing venues!

Also, we have a new concept for the head tables here that I don't think I have heard anyone speak of there. We do 3 round tables instead of the long straight one, one is the sweethear table with the BM and MOH, and the other two are on each side and have all the other Bridesmaids and ushers. Usually, they have flood lights underneath the table with really nice linens. If anyone wants to see pics, let me know and I will attach some websites. Thanks!

A Viennese table comes after the cake has been cut. It is a long table with every single desert on it you can think of. The weddings I have been to that have them seem like a waste to me. It is nice to have, but not necessary. A lot of the halls will give you a tray of pastries at each table. Also you usually get a piece of your cake and ice cream.
The long table you are talking about, do you mean for the bridal party? Most people don't do that anymore. They usually just have the bride and the groom at the front of the room.

cool i would like to see pics.
we get 5 hours of open bar this incldes frozen drinks. bottled water with lemom on the tables, strawberries and champagne.(upon arrival)strawberries dipped in chocolate(when you leave). tiered wedding cake. Coccktail huor will include 6 hours d'oeuvres 6 hot chafing stations, 2 pasta stations, 3 carving board stations, an antipasto display, breadsand sushi bar. for dinner 1 appitizer, a salad, choice of 4 entrees. and a mini vienese.
( regular vienese is a really big dessert table with all kinds of pastries, cake, ice cream cookies, cordials, coffee, tea, crepes, tarts, cotton candy and candy apples.)
mini vienese is an assortment of french and italian pastries, cookies, fresh fruit and cordials, espresso and cappuccino.
and an ice sculpture... not to mention the beautiful hall www.giorgiosatfoxhill.com

ETA: i also think a regular vienese table is too much, thats why we went with the mini
