I'm clueless on what to get for favors. I would love to ge something usefull yet nice. I was thinking of making cd's. But I'm not sure if I'm going to go that route.

We are doing glass butterfly ornaments (.82 each from LTD)
With gold ornament stands (1.60) and on the box I made scrolls with the love is.. scripture. When its rolled it has our name and date on the top.

My FFIL has diabetes, so we made a donation to the American Diabetes Association. We're also doing Jordan Almonds.

Fran M...yes, the sand dollars can be used as place cards. I'm not sure if I want to do just that or try to pull off getting both the sand dollar and the chocolate bar...I guess our budget will decide.

Shot glasses with our name & date! Very us!! I'll wrap them in boxes & I got Red, White & Silver hershey kisses to put in with them!!

We use them all the time!

I'm making my own chocolate favors. A white chocolate heart box with a sillouhette of a bride and groom on top. Filling the box with 3 milk chocolate truffles. Wrapping it up in a clear cellophane type bag and tying it with tulle and string of pearls. Here is a pic of something similar.

We're giving each couple a full sized bottle of Duck Walk Chardonnay from Pindar. You can't tell in the pic, but each bottle has a personalized label with our names and date

We are doing a four piece box of Godiva Chocolates. I am doing the ribbon similar to this and adding a rose to each box.

These ideas are all great. My advice if you are making something is to start early and make sure you have all your supplies before you begin the project. I initally used a different flower for the topiary place card I made but Michaels could not get me the quantity I needed.

Applesfla, there is a vendor on this board that does those chocolates very affordably and she will even deliver them to your hall for you. Her name is Pam, and her phone # is 516-593-4904. I am using her for my place card chocolate favors. Her prices are very reasonalbe. She will work with you to come up with a nice design and you can choose your own wording.

We're going to burn CDs with the main wedding songs (our 1st dance, father and daughter dance, etc) - plus it'll have snippits from comedy routines that make fun on marriage in between songs. It should be hysterical - but I will have to put a parental advisry sicker on our albums!

Besides that - for the older guests who might not appreciate our taste in music, I'm making favors by filling corked glass bottles (for about $1 each) with bath salts (5lbs for $2.30). If anyone else is interested, I'm getting the supplies off of www.save-on-crafts.com

We're giving out tulip bulbs. We get a little white box (that I'll decorate), two bulbs and a little personalized card that contains growing instructions. I got them from plantamemory.com.
