Our rehearsal dinner is on Thursday and our wedding is Saturday. I had wanted to relax and kick back on Friday at my parents house but they do not want anyone at the house. We will have out of town guests that I would like to see before the wedding so I was thinking of setting up camp somewhere else. What is everyone else doing? Any suggestions on where to go that's not too formal? I was thinking a barbeque at a beach but Town of Oyster Bay beaches open the day after!

SLEEPING!!! I have to be ready for pictures at 9am and my hair is going to get done around 6:30!!! I'm definitely sleeping!

Try town of huntington, I have had bbqs before 6/26 in years past, but we always used town of Huntington or Smithtown....

Getting manicure & pedicure the morning before and then just relaxing and sleeping the rest of the day.
Probably just rest... get nails done... walk the dog in the park or something, then off to my mom's to sleep for the night.

We are doing the same thing. RD will be Thursday night and we are going to have a pizza party on Friday with OOT friends. Since its November we will prolly need to be in doors - haven't decided on a location yet. But I still want to be in bed by 10:30 (wedding is at 10:30am on Sat)

For us it looks like this--
Thursday -- RH Friday -- I just want to be home with my folks. Saturday -- THE BIG DAY

My father is making my life difficult. He'll be in late Thursday prehaps even ON friday (the day before my wedding) So we're doing dinner in Chinatown and that's about it.
My brother comes in that Wednesday night so I'll be city site seeing with him on Thursday and some of Friday. All of my family leaves the day after my wedding early early morning .

Plan on eating in Long Island with my family and then having a slumber party type thing with my bridesmaids in the hotel.

Beachbride - I just realized I didn't really answer your question: sometime OOT guests like to relax too, maybe you can have a 'happy hour' type thing in their hotel bar? Pay for drinks and order some food? This was they can rest and you can see them too.

I think you can take your out of town guests to a local pizza shop. That would be a nice way to get together with them without overdoing it or having it seem like RD part 2. We're having the RD the weekend before the wedding and I'm spending the night in a hotle room with my bridal party.

Having our RH Dinner. Then all the girls are sleeping at my place for a slumber party. We will get up early the next morning to get ready for my big day

I am renting out a nail place that does fabulous special pedicures for my girls (they pay themselves, not part of their gift, they come if they want to ) then I am having a bridesmaid tea at my maid of honors house. A woman is coming and serves tea, petite sandwitches and hours dourves. yum. then relax and sleep

WIsh I could take advantage of relaxing...
Will get my mani and pedi Saturday...then we ahve to have our RD the night before because FHs family is stubborn and will not come out till then...
I wanted to have a RD on Fri night....then just relax with my parents the day before...but tis going to be a reheardakl at 7, dinner following....then to sleep I hate the idea of eating dinner soooo late...plus my nievces and nephews will ahve to kept up past their bedtime, and I do not want cranky kids at my wedding...
