Hey everyone!
I have been posting more on the BHB website but I will do more here now! Im currently back at med school in Mexico...while i was home on LI a few weeks ago I booked Photography and found my dream dress in the first store I went into!! 2 major things down. Over the Christmas holidays I plan on finding an officiant, DJ, and taking my engagement shoot in order to send out Save the Dates. Until then I plan on taking a little vacation from wedding planning...which prob won't last for long. Hope everyone else's planning is going well!!

Hi Ladies
We haven't done much wedding related stuff since booking the RH. Although we are reconsidering going to my church instead of the RH for the ceremony. My pastor was not exactly happy about the time of year we chose (Lent), but not opposed to doing it, just that there may be some convincing to do on our part. Lets just say that not everyone was happy with what we were doing and told us that it must be at a church and won't leave us alone about it.
On a better note, I officially finished grad school today!!

Congratulations on graduating!! Must feel so nice! I still have 2 years of med school left ahh!
I just wanted to say that I'm doing my ceremony at my RH and was really surprised that my side of the family (1/2 italian) was actually ok with not doing it in a church. I was really surprised b/c my grandparents are really traditional. I think they like the idea of having it all at one place so they don't have to drive back and forth everywhere. On the other hand, I think FH's family from Puerto Rico are not thrilled but honestly I think as long as you have an officiant that knows you, its going to be a beautiful ceremony regardless. I also just had my pastor leave our church and retire so that definitely had something to do with us choosing the RH. I think if it means a lot to you and your family to do it in a church and you have a special connection with your church/pastor then you should def consider doing it there. But if you truly were set on getting married at the RH, then you should...more people will probably attend the ceremony if its at the RH, it'll be a bit shorter, and it'll still be beautiful!! Plus there is something convienient about doing it in one place.

Re: Whats everyone up to....
Hello everyone! My honeybun and me booked Chateau Briand in February and really haven't done nothing else. Were getting ready for our huge Fourth of July Engagement/ Graduation party in July! Can't wait for that. Lately I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do for favors though. I don't want to give out candles, figurines or anything like that because how many times do we go to parties and get those type of favors and they are thrown out in a few months or not used?
