I'm not trying to offend anyone, sorry if I do. My MoH got her dress from Kleinfeld's and it was absolutely beautiful and she got a killer deal on an Alita Graham. Having said that, I went to their sample sale today and was not impressed at all. The woman was rude, there was very little selection, she kept pulling things out of my price range and it was very crowded. Yes, I know it was a sample sale so it was probably crazier than usual. However, there was no reason for the attitude this woman gave me. I must have asked her five different times who made a particular dress. She actually rolled her eyes and said 'It's a sample, what difference does it make?' Umm, I don't care if it's a sample, if I am spending thousands of dollars on anything, I want to know what I am buying!
We went to Lovely Bridal after, which was the complete opposite. Very quiet and private. The girl was very nice and helpful. She actually picked out the dress I think might be 'the one' and it is BELOW my budget, what a refreshing change!

Re: What's so great about Kleinfeld's?
My sister got her gown at Kleinfled in 2003 (Brooklyn). The lobby was pretty and we had cappuccino, but then they just put you in a room and bring you what they think you'll like. They didn't even ask my sister for a price range, they just assumed. She ended up with the first gow she tried on, which was a gown she'd brought in a photo of. They were kind of helpful. The seamstresses did an amazing job of creating a modesty piece for her that matched the beading on her gown. It was expensive, but they did a beautiful job. Still, they maybe should have guided my sister to a larger size or something so her boobs didn't pop out. I do feel like it';s a much more upscale experience in general than other places.
That's RIDICULOUS about not fititng you into a 10. I'm a size 16/18. I was more like a 20 when I tried on gowns and they got me into the 10's at my salon. They can do a lot with clips to give you an idea. I feel like you're you're a 12, a 10 is a much closer approximation than a 26. Was it a 'bridal 10?' (more like a street 6) That might explain it somewhat, but still, they could have helped you without making you feel bad.
