I am using free weights. Does anyone know certain moves that really work your arms? I don't want that jiggle under my arms. So I really want to work that spot the most. Any suggestions??? Thanks

Re: What's some good moves to tone up arms?
tricep kickbacks are good- bend your arm at a 90 degree angle and then move your forearm back, making sure to keep your elbows in. I also use my body weight - rest your hands on a flat surface, like a bench- your fingertips facing your butt, bend your knees and lift and lower yourself.
Its kind of hard to explain without showing pictures.

In addition to weight training, I find that push ups have sculpted my arms & back, and given me strength in my chest muscles as well!

I agree! I have been doing push ups on the exercise ball and I see a definite difference in my arms.

In some of my workout classes, we do pushups on a wedge. Definitely works your arms without worry about hurting your back.

Re: What's some good moves to tone up arms?
I was watching Fit-TV a couple of weeks ago, and they had Cathe Freidrich (sp?) on. I didn't pay as close attention as I probably should have, but I wrote down some of the exercises she was doing for the arms. You do the following sets:
* Do 12 reps with your lightest hand weights * Do 10 reps with your medium hand weights * Do 8-10 with your heaviest hand weights * Do 10 reps with your medium hand weights * Do 12 reps with your lightest hand weights
The 4 groups of exercises I wrote down are:
* tricep kickbacks and overhead press (with one dumbell) * hammer curls and bicep curls * pec fly and chest press * lateral raises and front raises
She did several other groups of exercises, but I didn't write them down. I've done this a couple of times and let me tell you my arms were KILLING me the next day! I used 3, 5, and 8 lb dumbells.
My other suggestion would be to get Tamilee Webb's 'I Want That Body' DVD. It is broken down into six segments (2 segments of arms, 2 abs, and 2 butt). Each segment is 15 minutes long and it really does work!
Hope this helps!

Push-ups with hands closer together your elbows brushing your sides-as well as the ones with your arms futher apart and your elbows pushed apart. They also work your back, chest and abs. I don't know if this makes sense but they call them yoga push ups- if you have ever done yoga its the way you lower your body to the floor.
