geico is very inexpensive, BUT as soon as you get into an accident, they DROP you.

this has happened to several people i know who have had impecable driving records up until their accidents, none of which where their faults...

I have Nationwide for my insurance.

We have Geico also & I had my car hit by a schoolbus while it was parked & also had the windshield replaced at another time & there was never a problem. I'd highly recommend them

We shopped around and Geico was the cheapest for us.

You should also check to see if either of your workplaces has a special deal with an insurance provider. We have Metlife at a price that not even Geico came close to...

Thank you ladies!

I just did some pricing and Geico looks like the winner!

We just hope we NEVER get in an accident!

I had really good luck with Geico. I had one speeding ticket while I was with them but it didn't increase my coverage too much. I think I paid around $180 a month with them.

I have Geico too and haven't had a claim but have had tickets. So far so good. My rates did not go up.

I just switched to Geico and I like them so far. I also liked that my rate dropped twice since I had them

Seems like you've got the insurance thing cleared up so now... details on the car!!! How exciting!! I was THRILLED the day I picked up my new car (last Feb - actually got engaged about 18 hours later... not a bad day ).

Pics, make, model... come on!!

I prefer Allsate. I've been with them for years. They are extremely helpful if God forbid you're in an accident or have any type of claim. I personally prefer to talk to an agent or a broker than an 800 #. I think it's worth the extra $.
BUT Geico is great on premium. I know a lot of people who have Geico and swear by them.
I think my problem is I'm in a good company, so why change...I guess I can't deal with change!

I have all State also- they were much cheaper then geico when I got my car last year

I pay $214 a month for 2 2005 cars with FULL coverage

Geico gave me such a hard time even though my Dad had 3 cars with them and they were pulling up stuff on my driving record from 10 years ago - which is illegal!

Thanks girls. I just looked into All State, but Geico is really the cheapest. For 'premium' coverage it's about $1500 a year for full coverage and we can't really beat that.

Thanks for the congrats...to those interested...this is what we bought:

2004 Honda Pilot EX
Certified Pre-Owned
Mileage: 17mpg city; 22mpg highway (we're really pleased considering it's an SUV! )

Congrats on the car! Honda's are the BEST in my opinion! I will ALWAYS buy Honda! Good, reliable cars!
(Did I happen to mention FH sells GMC, Pontiac & Buick vehicles!)

Lori you crack me up...poor FH!

Thank you! My DH gets all the credit though...he did all the research...all I said was 'SUV, 2004 or newer, if used it must be Certified Pre-Owned, under 15K miles, under a certain $$ amount' and he came through...when they want something bad enough, they do research...funny how he was so incompetent during wedding planning. LOL

Honda does seem to have the best cars in terms of maintenace (or lack thereof) and fuel efficiency and I'm loving that 90% of the SUV is made from recyclable materials...I'm a dork!
