I think the most high end would be the Hilton Millenium downtown. It was so pristine and beautiful and everything was so expensive and beautiful, and we ahd room service and it was so elegant and SOO yummy!
As far as a less $$ hotel I loved the Crowne Plaza in Sunrise, FL (outside ft lauderdale). It was such a great location and everything was nice and clean and pretty, the lobby was professional, but still homey and comfortable and best of all we hotwires it for only $46/night!
And the most fun would be the disney hotels. Gott alove swimming in a guitar shaped swimming poo, althugh I LVED port orleans FQ the best. The atmosphere was so peaceful and beautiful

The Castle in Orlando, FL (outside Universal) - this was almost 10 yrs ago, when they first opened. It was INSANE!!! A themed hotel, they even had belly dancers in the lobby!

I stayed at such a great hilton in miami, it was a complete fluke. DH and I drove down from Tampa, and he always picks up travel guides at gas stations. He found a coupon for Hilton, and we walked in and they actually took it, we got a great room with beach view for 65.00 a night!!

The Phoenician--Scottsdale, AZ The Pierre--NYC Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel--Laguna Niguel, CA Ritz Carlton Battery Park, NYC (rooms kind of small but that is where we got engaged!)
I used to work in event planning and stayed at a bunch of different hotels. I think The Phoenician had the best service--one afternoon I mentioned to a co-worker I felt like a snack, and someone less than 10 minutes later brought me a plate of piping hot cookies fresh from the oven!

The VERY BEST Hotel I EVER stayed in was the Hyatt Santiago (Chile).
Second best is the Inter-Continental in Johannesburg, S. Africa.
Resort - Coral Reef Resort in Barbados.

All the hotels I stayed at in Hawaii were THE BEST I'd ever been to
It was some time ago, I wish I could remember the names!
I *think* it was the Princeville (?) in Kauai and The Four Seasons in Maui.. I cannot remember the hotel in Honolulu.
The hotel in Kauai was AMAZING (too bad I was only there with my girlfriends, since it was super romantic )

In the US, the best I have stayed in was the Mirage, penthouse suite in Las Vegas.
The best around the world was the Punta Tragara on the island of Capri.
I will admit I haven't travelled much.

The Arusha Coffee Lodge in Tanzania was the BEST luxurious room we stayed in. I didn't want to leave the private 'hut' we had - carved 4-poster bed, silk mosquito netting, plush bathrobes & slippers, romantic stone shower with the best shower head, beautiful deck with teak furniture surrounded by columbus monkeys hanging around outside in the trees. Coffee trees everwhere.
The suite at the Stone Town Serena Inn in Zanzibar was by far one of the best places DH & I stayed. Beautiful arabic/muslim architecture - stained glass windows and doors, terra cotta floors, mosquito netting, a huge soft king sized bed.

The best hotel I've stayed in was the Bellagio in Las Vegas for our Honeymoon! The whole hotel is nothing short of class.

We took a nice long weekend in New Hope and stayed at a B&B that was rated as the best B&B in 2004 by bedandbreakfast.com... it's called the Woolverton Inn, and OMG, it was UNBELEIVABLE...
The flagship hotel in Atlantic City. We had a mini suite..it was awesome!

I haven't reallly traveled much but in comparison to the places I have been to, the best by far has to be iberostar paraiso beach in Mexico.

Princeville Resort in Kauai Ritz Carlton in Maui Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara Astor Palace right outside of Athens Greece a town called Vouligmeni (sp)- stayed here for the Olympics, absolutley amazing.
We just booked the Four Seasons in Exuma so I am hoping to add it to my list when we return!
