I registered for the Cuisinart one. I wanted a great one also...but they are insanely expensive. They can go for over $500 and even as much as $1400. I wanted one that was good quality, had great features and would last. I found this was the most advanced for a decent price range (it is $249 on sale). There is also a programable one that Cuisinart makes that looks a little nicer but its $349 on sale. I thought that was a little too much for us because we aren't die hard espresso/cappuccino drinkers. Check them out....we registered for ours at Macy's and they are ALWAYS on sale.

FH and I have Capresso brand espresso machine. I bought it for FH 3 years ago and paid $399 I believe.

I love this machine because it is easy to use and easy to clean.

All of the espresso grinds are swept into a tray that is easily removed and dumpped and easy to clean.

It even came with a 'how to' DVD.

My neighbor has a krups and it's iffy. It has had 2 parts replaced in the 2 years she has owned it.

I love this machine. If it was too hard to clean or use I would never use it. we use it ALL THE TIME!

HTH

Two Xmases ago FH bought me the $150 DeLonghi one. I am literally in LOVE with it. I have been using it every day for over a year now and it makes GREAT cappuccino (this is coming from me, a cappuccino snob!).

It is certainly not the most high end machine, but I love it so much and I didn't register for a new one b/c this one does a great job!
