what's the best present you got from your e-party??
I have my best friends engagement party on saturday! I got her and her fiance something already (don't want to say what she is a bride on here lol)
But I want to get them something else as well. So please give me some ideas as to what else I could get them. Or just tell me what the best gift you got was at your e-party.

I had made a registery and a lot of people got us gifts off there.. but we received cash too, and that helped with our first payment on the Reception Hall

my girlfriend got me a whole 'fiesta' basket with margarita glasses tortill warmer dishes w pepper, i ust it all the time when i make some mexican!

the best things that I got engaged were more sentimental for me- my grandma gave me the glasses that my grandfather gave her on their wedding day, my mom gave me her china. But one amazing gift that I got from my secret santa was a customized blanket from lillian vernon that had our names & wedding date on it- its so pretty!

My ice cream maker and an ice cream cookbook. I also got an amazing BBQ Pit/Crock Pot. Hmmm...I got tons of nice stuff including most of my china....oh...I cant choose!

honestly, we got some things from our registry and our wedding serving set...but the BEST thing we got??? Money. we needed it so bad to make deposits for our vendors.
everytime we opened an envelope and there was cash in it I was like YES! the florist gets their deposit!

I have never been to an engagement party, so I dont know what the norm is for gifts. But maybe put together a nice collage of pictures of the two of them? Or maybe one of your group of friends if you are all friends? Something personal like that is always a nice gift!
I forgot that we went to a bbq once that was also an engagement party. LOL. We got them a margarita set from williams sonoma. No idea if that was appropriate or not!

I would have to say the China set that was my Grandma's it one of the first Lennox set and this grill pan I didnt even register for but my sister picked put just knowing I would love it

haha thanks girls I do like cash as well
but i kinda wanted to be more personal. I am sure they could use the cash but since I am one of her BMs I also wanted to get her something special/nice.

that is a cute idea- the collage.
oh and i think a margarita set is a great gift. I know my friend likes some margarita's haha

I actually only recieved cash for my engagement party. No one got me any gifts!! But we enjoed the cash very much! ANd used the money for our reception hall!!

we didnt register so all we got was cash - which was great because we havent touched any of that money since the party and we dont plan on using it - its nice to know we have it just in case of a wedding emergency but its nice to have a little nest egg to start off our savings

MONEY BECAUSE IT WENT RIGHT INTO THE WEDDING ACCOUNT. WE ALSO GOT REALLY NICE GIFTS. I WAS HOPING PEOPLE WOULD JUST COME AND CELEBRATE BUT EVERYONE GAVE US NICE THINGS

love our tiffanys candlesticks and waterford toasting flutes
we are going to use the candlesticks for our ceremony (unity candle part) and the flutes obviously while we down champagne all day long

haha i emailed about another thing besides the candles----don't know which one i like more
they got us our toasting flutes for our wedding so i don't know should i be a copycat haha

I love candles, I light them in my house always and from one of my girlfriends I got a big Basket of Candles with a Candle Poem inside that read....
