FSIL will be only 10 at the time of our wedding and is in our BP. I was going to make her a junior bridesmaid, but what's the difference between junior bridesmaid and just plain bridesmaid? Is it weird to have a 10 yr old as a regular bridesmaid? also, we have no other children in our BP - so we have no young groomsman to match up with her.....
TIA

Re: what's the difference??
They wear a 'tween' version of the bridesmaid dress. I don't think they make most BM dresses to fit someone so small. If they do, I see nothing wrong with having her be a bridesmaid. I'm not sure if you'll be abel to find a dress like this though. GL

Does she have to be in the bp? What if you found some other job for her to do? Have I asked you this before?

Re: what's the difference??
i thought 'jr' really only resulted in them wearing a kid version of the dress and obviously not getting as involved in plannins things just cause they are young (or going to the bach party!).!!!!

Re: what's the difference??
I was the same age when my brother got married. I was a jr.BM... My cousin was supposed to be a jr.GM but backed out of the wedding the night before. So I walked alone, but if he would have shown up I would have walked with him. Its basically a Jr. Version of a BM.. a more appropriate sized dress, a more appropriate sized bok (sometimes the reg. BM bok is a little bigger), lower heels on shoes. I was actually quite upset that I was a Jr. I didn't want to be considered a flower girl, as they didn't have one. So they just were sure to but Jr BM in the program and the DJ announced me as the Jr BM. I sat at the head table, which made me feel special.

Re: what's the difference??
When my oldest sister got married, I was 9 and I was the flower girl. Do you already have a flower girl?
Or she could just be a jr. BM and walk by herself.

Re: what's the difference??
I would make her a jr. bridesmaid. The bridesmaid dresses may be a little too 'grown up' for a 10 year old. I don't think a jr bridesmaid is esorted by anyone also.. but I'm not sure.

my cousin is a bridesmaid.. she will be 12 or 13 I think.
I didn't like the idea of having a Junior.

Re: what's the difference??
She has to be in the BP. I was thinking about her as a flower girl but I had put up a post a bit ago and it seemed that most thought she would be too old. I'm ok with having her as a junior bm - just need to know how to word me asking her. lol
