you've driven to go to a wedding? Were you annoyed that you had to travel so far?

Being that Long Island isn't THAT big I feel like 90% of the areas are tolerable to drive to for a wedding. So no matter where on LI it is, its not that Far, Even if it was in the City. If there was a Wedding In Jersey or waaaay up state I would probably make it a Hotel Stay ( I live Mid Suffolk. I think a 3 hour drive would be my limit lol

My brother got married in NJ, bc his wife wanted Manhattan in the background of all the pics.

Never too far. We went to one wedding where the church was in NJ and the reception was upstate and another one where the church was upstate and the reception was in NJ. So I always get nervous now about NJ weddings.

-My sister's wedding was up in Vermont, but I wasn't annoyed because we all stayed in this beautiful country Inn for the weekend.

-My FH's cousin just got engaged and is getting married on July 4th next year in Lake George, and that's kind of annoying alot of us. It is a two night minimum at the hotel they blocked off, and it's over $200 a night. Plus, our wedding is on May 25, about a month before, and my FH has to take off work for a week for the honeymoon. We thought it wasn't so bad because the 4th is a Friday and he would be off of work anyway, but his stupid cousin made the commitment dates for the hotel block July 3-5, so now he has to take off on Thursday!

-My FH is a groomsman in his coworkers wedding, and the coworker is also a groomsman in our wedding. Their wedding is next September 2014 and I'm slightly annoyed at the location they picked because they are getting married at their church in Nassau County in Franklin Square where we all live, but then we all need to drive out to Baiting Hollow for the reception. My FH will be in the limo with the bridal party, so it just sucks that I have to drive there by myself to meet them all there =/ This isn't too bad though, it's like an hour and a half away

We have traveled to Cape May, NJ and that was one of the most fun weekends ever! We rented a house with FH's college friends and we had a blast. The farthest though might be New Hampshire and I wasn't annoyed but FH definitely was

I've driven to Brooklyn, Astoria, Maspeth, and Staten Island for weddings and never minded. I almost drove to North Carolina for my brother's wedding, but changed my mind at the last minute and bought a plane ticket instead.

From brooklyn to riverhead. It was a long drive but we stayed in a hotel and made a weekend of it.

Newport, RI was pretty far, but we didn't mind the drive. Who doesn't love going to a wedding?!

I drove to bumble upstate last year for my friend's wedding (like 3 hours). It was right after the hurricane so I was excited to get gas without waiting on a line!

We have a wedding in Saratoga in October so that will be the furthest for us.

Just went to a wedding on the 13 for one of my bridesmaids. It was up in New Hampshire so about 6 and a half hours away. Went with my parents but we drove up that day and drove home early the next day. Probably would've stayed later the day after but my dad had to go to the hospital and as he put it 'wouldn't trust the hospitals in the boonies'. We weren't annoyed at all even with that though. It's all about your relationship with the couple getting married.

I drove to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Jersey, Connecticut, Suffolk County, Montauk... all for weddings and all worth it. Wouldn't have missed a single one of those weddings!

Never that far!

I'm actually worried people will consider mine far.. especially since the ceremony will be in Smithtown and the reception is in Aqueboque!
