What's the going rate for photo/video?

Hello ladies,

I'm reposting this from the 07 board, any info you ladies can provide is appreciated.

What's the going rate for photo and video packages? I have no idea if I'm getting enough for my money or paying too much. This would be my first photo/video vendor that I've seen so far.

I got a quote for the below:

Photo
coverage 12pm -9:30pm (no overtime) includes me at home, ceremony, & reception.
unlimited pics shots (average 500-800)
cd-rom
online gallery
Proof album
75 Thank you cards
1 11x14
total= $2,500

additional photo

1 10x10 B & G album (40 pages)
2 5x5 parent albums (24 pages)
1 mini album (replica of b&g album) It's so cute and can fit in your purse -$200 Not sure if I really want to spend the x-tra $$ for that though. That could be used for a tip.

Total Photo package would be $4,500 for all the above.

Video

All day
in camera editing
raw footage
interviews
total = $1,500

addtional would be for another $1,000

baby pics
HM pics
titles
songs,
(edited version 1 hour long)
Special effects
slow motion

Total video would be = $2500

For both would be a total of $6,500

My question is, Deal or No Deal? Any advice is much appreciated. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!!

It all depends..

I didnt have that much money so I shopped around through LIW and I decided on 12th night photo (I got over a thousand proofs all on CD)

Then I printed my pics up very cheap on shutterly.

I also made my own albums for about $100 each.

I used JPIvideo for video. They are not well known yet, but I found them by watching another LIW brides video. I can tell you I am extremely picky and they were awesome! My wedding video is the best I have seen IMO

A friend of mine spent more than double on hers and when she saw mine she brought hers back to her videographer and demanded he do a better job. So check them out :)

I spent less than 4,000 for both. FM me for details and a clip of my video.
